1. Diazocyclohexadienones, which may also be considered as dipolar diazonio phenoxides, obtained by diazotizing aromatic primary amines having a hydroxy group in an ortho or para position. Also known as diazophenols. See also diazo compounds, phenoxides, quinone diazides.
