Definition of message section

1. the section of a safety sign that contains those words that clarify the nature and severity of the hazard, so as to provide the rationale for evasive actions. It must also state the appropriate evasive actions. Whenever possible, these messages should be chosen from common usage or community acceptance. [SEMI S1-90]
