1. 1 : a terminal of a semiconductor device or component at which information can be extracted or inserted. [SEMATECH] 2 : in automated material movement, a point on the equipment at which a change of equipment ownership of a transfer object occurs, including any dedicated mechanisms that either prepare for, facilitate, or are capable of interfering with the transfer.
