Definition of tester pattern generation (TPG)

1. the generation of a program that runs on an integrated circuit hardware tester (integrated circuit tester). The purpose of this program is to permit test vectors to be applied to the pins of the integrated circuit, and measurements made to determine the performance of the integrated circuit.
