O.2 mol of ZnO formed. The carbon is not important to take into consideration, because it is in excess. You might have left a lot of information out of this problem. Zinc, Zn is the starting material at this factory. We need to write a reaction equation and it must be balanced, too.
(s) is solid.
(g) is gas. You usually cannot see gas.
2 Zn(s) + O2(g) -----> 2 ZnO (s)
0.2 mol ZnO (2 mol Zn(s) / 2 mol ZnO (s)) = 0.2 mol Zn(s)
0.2 mol Zn (s) * (65.38 g Zn / 1 mol Zn) = 13.076 g Zn (s)
=13 g Zn
I do not have enough information to check the correctness in this problem . I hope this helps.
