| the ionization Cl-->Cl+ requires approx. 1200 kJ/mole. at that energy, probably the media is a plasma mixture.

see ionization ability or disability is related to the energy needed to get the ion
for that it is hard to get a grp 7 cation due to the vey high energy needed
