Hi! My chemistry's a bit rusty, so I hope someone can help me out with this one:

I want to develop a method of determining nitrite (NO2-) concentration in NaNO2 and NaNO3. The machine I'm using has a measuring range of 0.5-25.0 mg/L NO2-. So I'm trying to figure out how much of either sodium nitrite or sodium nitrate I have to weigh out and dilute in 100 ml water to get a reading of about 1.0 mg/L NO2- on the machine.

I think that I have to figure out this using the n=m/M equation combined with c=n/V, am I on the right track?
