Definition of transient recorder

Transient digitizers are electronic instruments for recording a fast transient signal such as a fluorescence decay. To to technological advances, the distinction between transient digitizers and digital oscilloscopes is blurring, and either can be used for recording transient signals. Transient Averagers Transient averagers are transient recorders that store the data in memory. The data can then be summed and averaged to improve the signal-to-noise ratio . Related Topics
